As a new challenge hits Saltbush Stretch, the walls of the studio fill with beautiful new art work. This time we are extremely excited to announce that our newest feature artist Rebecca Hutchinson is filling the space with the most gorgeous landscape painting.
Bec’s work actually screams Saltbush Stretch in some ways, that’s why we think she is the perfect artist for our walls this Autumn. Stunning pink cloudy skies with the most perfectly painted landscapes, with a few little animals here and there. We seriously could keep them here forever.
ABOUT BEC..
We asked Bec to tell us a little bit about herself, pretty much give us her life in a nutshell. Here’s what she wanted to share with the Saltbush lovers..
“My name is Rebecca Hutchinson. Im a wife, mum to four boisterous but beautiful boys, Nurse and (of course) Artist. Our life is constant chaos, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m a Riverina Artist based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. I love coffee (especially my morning coffee), traveling and chasing after my four boys. I’m dog obsessed and especially love Australian Cattle dogs, owning a beautiful blue heeler- Lucy and a red heeler- Rusty.”

The Art Story..
Bec gave us a little insight into where the inspiration for her art came from, we were dying to know, because, I have said it before and will say it again – STUNNING
“A country childhood awakened my love for painting Australian landscapes. The inspiration behind each of my paintings is drawn from so many different things. The view out my kitchen window, something spectacular that I happen to spot whilst driving into town or simply a photo that inspires me. I particularly enjoy painting the beautiful everchanging Australian skies, especially sunsets. The sky paints so many different colours including soft blues, yellows and PINK (the colour that inspires most of my paintings).”
Rebecca is about all things creative, from drawing, painting and photography. Her love for art began as a young child. Often sketching cartoons out of the newspaper. Bec now finds herself sketching cartoons for my four boys.
Also, the BEST fun fact about Bec, she is a Yoga and Pilates lover!! She is yet to get into a Saltbush class with us, but is such a little pocket rocket and would be a superstar on the mat!

Rebecca Hutchinson Art will be hitting the studio walls for 8 weeks, with a variety of different sizes and landscapes, there probably something to fill that empty wall in your home 😉
We invite you to join us for an exhibition night on Friday the 5th of April, come and meet Bec, have some nibbles and bubbles, bring your friends and wallets! And celebrate our latest feature artist. Hope to see you there!
And of course with the majority of our community not being local to Hay. All artworks will be available online for you to purchase – so keep an eye on socials for your favourite artwork and be sure to DM us.
You can show Bec some love over on Insta and check out all her work @rebecca.hutchinson.art
Big love. Em xx
