Saltbush Sista Challenge – Meet the Sista’s

We live in such a fast paced world these days, our friends are on a different schedule, we loose track of what day it, the weeks roll around so quickly and half the time we’re just flat out getting the bare minimum done.

Sometime we lose that connection with people, put catch up’s on the back burner, and the constant comment to our gals, “we shouldn’t leave it so long, we need to catch up” and the weeks turn into months and we find ourselves saying the same old thing!

As you all know, that sense of connection and community is just important to us here at Saltbush Stretch, as is is to actually move your bodies..

So with that being said, we brought in the Saltbush Sista Challenge – Woooo!

We wanted to share with you a couple of our little Saltbush Sista duo’s so you could get to know some of our beautiful community.

The Saltbush Sista Duos..

I had a few little questions for all the chicks for us to get to know them, here are all their answers.

Studio Sista’s – Kate & Georgia..
Kate is a 26 year old primary school teach from Sydney, now living in Hay, and Georgia is a 23 year old massage therapist from Colleambly, again living in Hay.. Kate and Georgia are now studio babes but before the studio opened were on the mat together at home via the Squad, so long time supporters.

Squad Sista’s – Steph & Jacq

Steph is a 30 year old bush legend living in Merriwagga NSW, she’s a real goer, as she would say “a bit of an all-rounder in our farming business”. Her Sista Jacq, a brand new squad babe is 32, city livin’ in Melbourne and is a personal care assistant! Thanks for joining us Jacq!

The Studio Sista’s – Kate & Georgia..

I asked the girls about their favourite class in studio and their favourite thing about their Saltbush Sista..

Kate – “At the moment I am loving my yoga flows… it feels so good to zen out in the studio! I have been enjoying the balance of chill and challenge in our flows.
Gee is like have your own personal cheer squad! She is someone who you can always rely on and is so encouraging too, shes the best.”

Georgia – “Tricky question, I enjoy winding down of an evening with Han’s chill yoga as it enables me to close down my busy mind after a long day at work, but Em & Mol’s reformer classes are honestly the best form of physical activity.
Kate and I have a ball together whether it is on or off the mat. I can count on her when I need to. Kate has such a kind, caring and positive personality. “

Same Q’s, different chicks, fave flow type in the squad and the best thing about their Saltbush Sis..

Steph“I’m loving the yoga content! My body is really enjoying the stretches and balancing. I’ve really loved being able to share it with my bestie.
Jacq’s just the most beautiful soul and we have the absolute best time together. She always makes me laugh and pulls me back on track when I get lost.”

Jacq“I have been enjoying the mixture, this is my first time doing these types of flows so have’t found a favourite just yet!
Steph is there for me no matter what is going on, she is my ride or die bestie”

The last thing I asked all these Saltbush babes was.. What has been the best part of the challenge so far? I really got the same answer from all of them.. The sense of community, the encouragement AND creating the time to not just catch up with a friend but also put mental and physical health first.

In the Saltbush Stretch family about forming strong bonds with other bush babes who understand the challenges and beauty of the outback life. Whether it’s moving on the mat, sharing stories, offering advice, or simply being there for each other, being a Saltbush Sista means finding strength together and being that beacon of support.

I really hope you have loved this challenge, as I said at the start, life is hectic, but I can’t stress enough the importance of getting together with your girlfriends, checking on each other and supporting your Sista’s as much as possible, life short!

Keep it up queens – love your work!
