So how are we going Saltbush Squad? Off to a roaring start to your Cool, Calm, and Connected Challenge?
Write down that SMART goal, placed it somewhere visible so you can see it every day (hint, if you haven’t already, I recommend doing this), and keep yourself on track. I’m pretending I can hear a huge resounding HELL YES!! Hahaha.
Let’s keep that momentum going.
You’re off to a killer start, and we want to make sure you stay on track to achieving your goal/s. It’s one thing to commit yourself, but do you ever find that if it’s only a commitment to yourself, sometimes it’s easy for other things in life to take over and take priority? Or if you haven’t said it out loud to anyone or shared it, it’s easy to just let it slip by the wayside. It happens, and this is where Accountability comes in. Accountability means showing up and setting out to accomplish the things you said you would, and here we discuss ways in which you can make that happen.
Accountability can help accelerate your performance, by engaging and reiterating, as a group or with an individual, about your intentions and goals. Having an accountability partner or group establishes a level of commitment and accepting your role in turning your words into actions.
It’s a great way to track your progress by checking in with someone, whether you require:
- Daily push
- Weekly check-in
- But ultimately it increases the likelihood of success
Your accountability partner can be anyone of your choosing. Whether your partner, husband, best friend, family member or a fellow squad babe who you know is also committed to their goals over the Cool, Calm and Connected Challenge. Plus, Lucky you, you’re already part of The Squad who has your back, so this is another great avenue to reach out and be active on the Saltbush Squad Private Facebook group, where everyone can offer support and accountability to each other.
All you have to do now is choose that accountability partner, share the goal you have set over the 30 days Cool, Calm, and Connected Challenge, and agree upon set check-in times (daily, weekly, I find usually a weekly check-in is sufficient, but that’s entirely up to you) and get to it. But having that outside obligation you are even more inclined to strive towards what you want to achieve.
I must admit, if I let myself down, for some reason that’s ok, but if I tell someone I’m going to do it and I don’t, oh that social obligation and feeling of letting someone down, it just hits the feels and gives you extra zing to make sure you step up your game in future.
Of course, depending on your accountability partner, they can encourage you, push you more, or be just a listening ear. But do choose someone who is also invested in seeing you achieve and not just going to let you off the hook that easy. You made this goal because you want to become the best version of yourself. Never forget you are worth investing in.

I hope this helped and you already have someone in mind that you can reach out to. What I also love about having an accountability partner is that you’re finding the alignment with the Cool, Calm and Connected Challenge by staying “connected”.
Can’t wait to hear how you’re tracking Saltbush Squad. Go Get It!
And head over to The Squad to check out the video version of this blog too – always good to have a visual/audio version too!
Big love. Caz xx
